Daron's First Grade Basketball League at East Windsor, CT.

Daron wanted to play basketball but where we live dont have 1st grade league only 2nd grade league. Daron was pooped so I called the next town to see if they had first grade league. We found first grade league for Daron to participate in East Windsor. The first Grade League had players evalution day. Daron played great. After the evaluation, one of the coaches came up to me and told me that all the coaches wanted Daron to play for their team. I smiled. Daron had his first game last week for ten minutes. He scored 6 out of 8 team points. Daron's team won 8 to 2. Daron had lots of steals, blocks and lay ups. He was very aggressive. The parents asked my Dad, "who is that kid?" My Dad said thats my grandson! The lady told my Dad that he is very very good! My Dad said. "yes and Daron has a basketball court in his backyard."

Big Ben gave Daron a football!

Daron will never forget this game. I took Daron to see the Steelers play against the Patroits at Foxboro, MA on Nov 20, 2008. We arrived at the stadium about 2 hours early. We watched Ben doing warm up throws with his wide receivers for 30 minutes. All of sudden, we saw Big Ben running towards to us from 50 yard line. I wasnt sure what Big Ben was doing. I told Daron maybe he was coming to you. Big Ben went right up to Daron and gave him the NFL football!!!! Then Big Ben tapped his head and smiled at him! Daron had a big smile on his face!!! All the steelers fans around us were so jealous of the football that Daron received from Big Ben. Steelers ended up beating the Patroits! It was a special day for father and son!

Daron s Football Season is over.

Hello friends and families.

I have been very busy since Daron s football season was over in Nov 08. Sorry for the delayed. I will try my best to update sports news down the road. Daron's football team had a good year. His team finished 2-5-1. Daron played all the games without missing any games. He was a starter for strong safety every game. He made nice tackles. He was a back up quarterback. He took some snaps all season long. He did very very well because it was his first time being a quarterback as 6 year old.. He practiced taking a lot of snaps during practice. He had some nice touchdown runs as a quarterback during practice. His coaches are very excited to have Daron back next year as a starter quarterback because their quarterback is moving to the next level because of his age. One of Daron's coaches told me that they think Daron is a better quarterback than Carter because of his natural for being a qb. Coaches told me that they tried convincing Coach Tom to give Daron more snaps but told me that Coach Tom wanted Carter as a quarterback because he played last year. Daron told me that he really enjoyed playing football this year and wanted to come back. He has been working on his 3 and 5 steps in the basement lately. He also has been playing with his younger brother, Jaxon as his dummy tackle :-) Daron will see his quarterback coach for his lessons in April 09 every weekend. He will be working on taking shotgun snaps and fake handoff while in shotgun. Daron is really looking forward coming back next year. Please enjoy the pictures and video below. Please feel free to post comments!! Daron would like to read it!
